There are six sets of eight cards within each pack. On one side is the stimulus material taken from an original National Curriculum test question. On the reverse side is a series of structured questions based on the stimulus with corresponding answers. The teacher version contains specific information on the level of each question, the APP focus(es) covered and some notes on variant answers.Practical ways to use Testbase Mathscards in and beyond the classroomIn pairs: One child looks at the stimulus on the front of the card whilst the other child asks the related questions on the back of the card; straightforward answers are also on the back of the card for immediate feedback but pupils should be encouraged to talk about the questions and answers.Small group work: (or one-to-one with a teacher, parent/helper or teaching assistant) Use the cards as part of a teaching activity with more structured discussion, revision or assessment. National Curriculum levels and APP references are included in the teacher’s set for each question.
